DIY: Miu Miu inspired slippers

You know how the famous Miu Miu bejeweled slippers look like, right? Who doesn't. This DIY has been on my to-do list for awhile now. Ever since I spotted these Zara embroidered loafers, to be honest. But they were dark, with no life compared to the Miu Mius. At first I didn't do it because they weren't cheap and I was afraid to ruin them with the paint and the glue, but then I found them for 16€ on the sales, so it was the perfect time to experiment. It's extremely quick and easy, and I love the result. If I can do it, and I am terrible at doing these things, believe me, you can.

You'll need:
- A pair of slippers of your taste. You don't have to emulate the Miu Mius or use the very same shoes I'm using here, there are plenty of brands which made them similar or maybe you have an old pair you would like to pimp.
- A golden permanent marker.
- Strong glue.
- 30-40 rhinestones.

- Pegamento.
- 30-40 piedras de strass para pegar.

Start by painting the heel of the shoes using the golden marker. I picked a thick one so I could work faster, but if you are very perfectionist or if you are afraid to paint the shoe, you can pick a thiner one.

Then, paint the border of the shoe using the same marker. Let it dry for some hours so the golden paint is completely dry before continuing. I was waiting for a whole day.

And at last put a little glue on the heels and attach the rhinestones to the sides, trying to put them in line, leaving the same distance between stones and at the same height. Choose the size of the rhinestones depending on the height of the heel of the shoes you are using, and try to pick them not too big so there is some space up and down. This way you will prevent them from falling down while wearing the slippers.

Done!

¡Y ya está!

If you ever get to try this just take a photo and send it to me, I would love to share it and see how you did. Have a nice day!

Si probáis a hacerlo tomad una foto y enviádmela, me encantaría ver cómo os quedó. ¡Feliz día!
